shave the surface of the skin to remove excess dead skin and Velus peach fuzz hairs. The tool is held
at a 45 degree angle and is gently brushed along the skin to re- move the hair and dead skin cells.
The procedure is only performed on the face. It is generally a stand alone procedure, but it does
create deeper product penetration boosting the products effects. The proce- dure makes skin look

Does Dermaplaning hurt?
Most patients report feeling relaxed and pampered. The treatment is more comfortable than
microdermabrasion, and definitely more comfortable than the burning sensation of a chemical peel.
How long do the results last?
Dermaplaning is not just a one-time procedure. If you want the results to last, then you'll need to have the treatment done regularly. Dermaplaning will remove up to three weeks of dead skin cells that have accumulated with results that can last for up to four weeks.
Will I see immediate results:
Yes, you will see results immediately after the treatment. The skin will appear more glowing and radiant. There may be a healthy pinkness to the skin for few hours after treatment. You will find that makeup is easier to apply and looks better.
How often can Dermaplaning be performed?
Dermaplaning can be performed in three to four week intervals. It is good practice to let the skin
complete its normal rejuvenation cycle, which generally takes 28 - 30 days, depending on the clients age.
People who suffer from acne or have excess oil should not have dermaplaning per- formed. The reason
why you want to avoid this procedure is because if the hair is re- moved from the area, the oils may
cause
bacteria growth which could lead to acne breakouts.
LED THERAPY
Yes, red LED light therapy is used to treat the epidermis, the outermost layer of skin. The light is absorbed by the epidermis and stimulates collagen production, which can make skin look smoother and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
LED light therapy uses different wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin to different depths. The most common wavelengths used are red and blue:
-
Red light
Used to treat the epidermis, red light is thought to stimulate collagen production, improve circulation, and reduce inflammation.
-
Blue light
Used to treat acne, blue light targets oil glands in the deeper layers of skin to reduce oil production and prevent future breakouts.
LED light therapy can also promote the recovery of damaged epidermal barriers.
